Presented by Rockhampton Regional Council RADF and Screen Queensland, Filmmaker Workshop Rockhampton is a workshop provided for a diverse group of Rockhampton region emerging and practising film artists by Queensland film industry professionals.

WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Ever wanted to learn how to write a short story for screen? Or how to be a director, camera operator or sound recordist? Meet like minded people and learn tips to make a short film for the 2023 Capricorn Film Festival.

This short introduction workshop is this and so much more as you learn entry level skills into the filmmaking process, from idea inception through to distribution. Learn from Capricorn Film Festival mentor and feature film filmmaker Luke Graham.

The filmmaking workshop includes story and characters, hands of experience with cinema quality equipment(camera, sound and lighting) breaking down scenes of a film, writing a scene, filming and editing.

DAILY BREAKDOWN

Day 1 Development and Pre Production (6.5 hours)

Food and Water Notebook and Pen

Participants require no previous experience prior to the course, just an enthusiasm for cinema and film making. We encourage any students that were unable to take part in the workshop offered via their school to attend.
