As the western sun sets on the 2019 Capricorn Film Festival, it's time to celebrate the films and documentaries screened to the Central Queensland community and importantly its winners.

Capricorn Film Festival launches tonight!

The very popular Central Queensland film festival will kick off celebrations with a screening of New Zealand drama, Bellbird. “We’re excited, opening night is finally here and we start it off with such a fantastic movie,” said festival director Luke Graham.

WITH just one week to go until the annual Capricorn Film Festival commences in Yeppoon, organisers are rallying behind the community after the devastating bushfires and treating them to a night out - free of charge.

To show their support, Festival organisers will provide those impacted by the bushfires and fire emergency service personnel with free tickets to any of the upcoming films from November 20-23.

SIX CQ film premieres, two screen stars and one short film festival are less than two weeks away from hitting the Capricorn Coast.

The 5th annual Capricorn Film Festival (CFF) will draw back the opening night curtain at Yeppoon Town Hall on Wednesday 20 November at 6.30pm. It promises to be a sellout event with Australian screen star and Festival Patron Michael Caton and NZ star Cohen Holloway joining Yeppoon locals to walk the red carpet.

Capricorn Film Festival has announced that screen and television legend, Michael Caton will join the team as Festival Parton.

After five years of operating Central Queensland’s premiere film arts event, founder Luke Graham said he is very proud to have the Australian icon as their Festival Patron for the Capricorn Film Festival moving forward.

SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR CAPRICORN FILM FESTIVAL

Celebrating its fifth year, submissions are now open for the Capricorn Film Festival – a highly celebrated film event held annually in Central Queensland. This year, the festival will be a four-day cinema event to be held in late November at the beautiful beachside tourist destination of Yeppoon.
