CAPS FUTURE FILMMAKERS

Presented by Gladstone Regional and Arts Queensland, CAPS Future Filmmakers is a career development initiative for three regional emerging and practising artists from Gladstone on an upcoming professional film arts project being produced in the Gladstone region.

ACTIViTY INFORMATION

Capricorn Film Festival will provide opportunity and access to three Gladstone regional artists to receive 3 weeks mentorship and training on Sharko’s feature drama filming block in Gladstone.

 

The project aims to offer up to activity to up to three Gladstone region residents.

 

Participants will be provided with a brief departmental workshop, also mentoring sessions and receive on-the-job training to further their development and career opportunities, including transferable skills used for other roles within the arts sector. Participants position options will include: Production, Cinematography, Camera, Design, Wardrobe, Makeup, Sound.

Free. Initiative subsidised by partners.

FEE

​

The three selected applicants will be provided with meals, transport (where possible) and a small weekly financial payment to assist with their focus on the opportunity.

9 January - 3 Febuary 2023

WEEKLY BREAKDOWN

​

Five day weeks, based in Brisbane.

​

Interested applicants from the Gladstone region are requested to apply.

OTHER INFORMATION

​

Participants require no previous experience in the specific areas of production, just an enthusiasm for cinema and filmmaking, though those with experience are highly recommended to apply. We encourage anyone of any age (restrictions below) to register for the initiative. Age restriction is 16 up.
