YEPPOON
Based in Yeppoon, the gateway to the Capricorn Coast and the wonders of the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Keppel Bay Islands, the annual Capricorn Film Festival is Central Queensland's premiere film arts destination event.
FESTIVAL LOCATION
Located 40 km east of Rockhampton, you’ll discover the relaxed Capricorn Coast paradise of Yeppoon. The crystal blue waters of Keppel Bay and the Southern Great Barrier Reef lap at our doorstep and the tranquil Pumpkin Island paradise and Great Keppel Island itself, whisper welcome. These unique islands nestle among 25 or more just waiting to be explored.
There are onshore adventures to be had, too. In and around Yeppoon, limestone caves lie waiting to be explored and native zoos and crocodile farms promise to delight. For relaxation, family farm stays and wellness retreats soothe the soul. For adventure and adrenaline, choppering over land and sea or skydiving over our sandy shoreline will get pulses racing. But don’t just take our word for it, visit Capricorn Holidays to find out more and to book your accommodation for the festival.
Welcome to the place where cowboy culture meets the coastal lifestyle, a wonderful slice of Queensland that’s unlike anywhere else.
