TIM ROSS

Born and raised in Adelaide, Tim was working as a chippie for his old man when he fell down a well and decided the building industry wasn’t his cup of tea. With a new nose and a few less brain cells, Tim decided to pursue a career in acting and was lured to Melbourne after being accepted into the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

It was here he honed his stage skills, performing lead roles in a variety of plays including Our Country’s Good, Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme, Victory, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, King Lear, The Venetian Twins and The Perjured City. In his final year at VCA in 2007, Tim was awarded a Scholarship for demonstration of outstanding commitment to the course.

In 2010, Tim became an ensemble member of Red Stitch Actor’s Theatre, performing in On Ego, Oh Well Never Mind Bye, Howie the Rookie, The Kitchen Sink, Stop Rewind and 4000 Miles. During this time, Tim made his MTC debut playing Laertes in Simon Phillips’ production of Hamlet, followed by MTC’s world premiere of Return to Earth. Tim then landed a lead on Channel 10’s Wonderland in Sydney where he played the role of Steve Beaumont for 3 consecutive seasons.

Most recently, Tim played the lead in Feature Film Romance on the Menu, was a series regular in both Harrow (Season 3) and Dive Club for Worldwide distribution on Netflix. Other television credits include Informer 3838, Home and Away, Underbelly, Rush, Neighbours, The Code 2 and Mrs. Biggs. His skills for the screen were developed playing various leads in several short films and television commercials. In 2016 Tim teamed up with Wonderland cast mate, Ben Mingay, to host Cannonball, a game show for Channel 7. The duo then developed their own travel documentary, Tasting the Bush.

Other Feature Film credits include The Reef: Stalked, Bloody Hell, Benefited and Cooped Up.
